Recommended Julia Packages for Mera Workflows

Mera draws nothing itself. The tutorials plot with CairoMakie, and a few older projection pages use PyPlot — neither is a Mera dependency:

using Pkg
Pkg.add("CairoMakie")

Mera's Makie support is a package extension: it activates once a backend is loaded.

Packages that commonly pair well with Mera for astrophysical AMR / N-body analysis. None is required — Mera works on its own. For the wider Julia ecosystem beyond Mera workflows, see Essential Packages, which also marks which packages Mera already depends on.

Quick Install (pick what you need)

using Pkg
Pkg.add([
    "PyPlot", "Makie", "DataFrames", "CSV", "StatsBase",
    "Distributions", "FFTW", "Interpolations", "Unitful", "UnitfulAstro",
    "HDF5", "FITSIO", "AstroLib", "Cosmology", "WCS"
])
Start Small

Begin with: PyPlot, CairoMakie. Add others as analysis depth grows.
